1 Whosoever3956 believeth4100 that3754 Jesus2424 is2076 the3588 Christ5547 is born1080 of1537 God:2316 and2532 every one3956 that loveth25 him that begat1080 loveth25 him also that is begotten1080 2532 of1537 him.846

1 凡信耶穌是基督的，都是從神而生；凡愛生他的［him that begat］，也必愛從他所生［begotten of him］的。
|
|
2 By1722 this5129 we know1097 that3754 we love25 the3588 children5043 of God,2316 when3752 we love25 God,2316 and2532 keep5083 his848 commandments.1785
|
2 我們若愛神，又遵守他的誡命，因此［By this］就知道我們愛神的兒女。
|
|
3 For1063 this3778 is2076 the3588 love26 of God,2316 that2443 we keep5083 his848 commandments:1785 and2532 his848 commandments1785 are1526 not3756 grievous.926
|
3 我們遵守神的誡命，這就是愛他了；並且他的誡命不是難守的。
|
|
4 For3754 whatsoever3956 is born1080 of1537 God2316 overcometh3528 the3588 world:2889 and2532 this3778 is2076 the3588 victory3529 that overcometh3528 the3588 world,2889 even our2257 faith.4102

4 因為凡從神生的，就勝過世界；使我們勝過［overcometh］世界的，就是我們的信心。
|
|
5 Who5101 is2076 he that overcometh3528 the3588 world,2889 but1508 he that believeth4100 that3754 Jesus2424 is2076 the3588 Son5207 of God?2316
|
5 勝過世界的是誰呢？不是那信耶穌是神兒子的嗎？
|
|
6 This3778 is2076 he that came2064 by1223 water5204 and2532 blood,129 even Jesus2424 Christ;5547 not3756 by1722 water5204 only,3440 but235 by1722 water5204 and2532 blood.129 And2532 it is2076 the3588 Spirit4151 that beareth witness,3140 because3754 the3588 Spirit4151 is2076 truth.225

6 這借著水和血而來的就是耶穌基督，不是單借著［by］水，乃是借著水和血［by water and blood］。並且有靈作見證［And it is the Spirit that beareth witness］，因為靈就是真理［because the Spirit is truth］。

|
7 For3754 there are1526 three5140 that bear record3140 in1722 heaven,3772 the3588 Father,3962 the3588 Word,3056 and2532 the3588 Holy40 Ghost:4151 and2532 these3778 three5140 are1526 one.1520
|
7 在天上作見證的原來有三［For there are three that bear record in heaven］，就是父［the Father］，道［the Word］，與聖靈［the Holy Ghost］；這三乃是一的［these three are one］。
|
|
8 And2532 there are1526 three5140 that bear witness3140 in1722 earth,1093 the3588 spirit,4151 and2532 the3588 water,5204 and2532 the3588 blood:129 and2532 these three5140 agree1526 in1519 one.1520
|
8 在地上［in earth］作見證的也［And］有三，就是靈［Spirit］，水，與血；這三樣也都歸於一。
|
|
9 If1487 we receive2983 the3588 witness3141 of men,444 the3588 witness3141 of God2316 is2076 greater:3187 for3754 this3778 is2076 the3588 witness3141 of God2316 which3739 he hath testified3140 of4012 his848 Son.5207
|
9 我們既領受人的見證，神的見證更大［greater］了；因這是［this is］神的見證，是他［he］為他兒子所作［hath testified of］的。
|
|
10 He that believeth4100 on1519 the3588 Son5207 of God2316 hath2192 the3588 witness3141 in1722 himself:1438 he that believeth4100 not3361 God2316 hath made4160 him846 a liar;5583 because3754 he believeth4100 not3756 the3588 record3141 that3739 God2316 gave3140 of4012 his848 Son.5207

10 信神兒子的，就有這見證在他心裏；不信神的，就是將神當作說謊的，因不信神給［gave］他兒子作的見證。

|
11 And2532 this3778 is2076 the3588 record,3141 that3754 God2316 hath given1325 to us2254 eternal166 life,2222 and2532 this3778 life2222 is2076 in1722 his848 Son.5207
|
11 這見證就是神賜給我們永生；這永生也是在他兒子裏面。
|
|
12 He that hath2192 the3588 Son5207 hath2192 life:2222 and he that hath2192 not3361 the3588 Son5207 of God2316 hath2192 not3756 life.2222
|
12 人有了神的兒子就有生命，沒有神的兒子就沒有生命。
|
|
13 These things5023 have I written1125 unto you5213 that believe4100 on1519 the3588 name3686 of the3588 Son5207 of God;2316 that2443 ye may know1492 that3754 ye have2192 eternal166 life,2222 and2532 that2443 ye may believe4100 on1519 the3588 name3686 of the3588 Son5207 of God.2316

13 我將這些話寫給你們信奉神兒子之名的人，要叫你們知道自己有永生，也叫你們相信神兒子的名［and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God］。
|
|
14 And2532 this3778 is2076 the3588 confidence3954 that3739 we have2192 in4314 him,846 that,3754 if1437 we ask154 any thing5100 according2596 to his848 will,2307 he heareth191 us: 2257
|
14 我們若照他的旨意求甚麼，他就聽我們，這是我們在他裏面［in him］所存的信心［confidence］；
|
|
15 And2532 if1437 we know1492 that3754 he hear191 us,2257 whatsoever3739 302 we ask,154 we know1492 that3754 we have2192 the3588 petitions155 that3739 we desired154 of3844 him.846
|
15 我們既［If we］知道他聽我們一切所求的，就知道我們所求於他的，無不得著。
|
|
16 If1437 any man5100 see1492 his848 brother80 sin264 a sin266 which is not3361 unto4314 death,2288 he shall ask,154 and2532 he shall give1325 him846 life2222 for them that sin264 not3361 unto4314 death.2288 There is2076 a sin266 unto4314 death:2288 I do not3756 say3004 that2443 he shall pray2065 for4012 it.1565

16 人若看見他兄弟［his brother］犯了不至於死的罪，就當為他祈求，他［he］必將生命賜給那不至於犯了死罪的［for them that sin not unto death］。有至於死的罪；我不說他［he］當為這罪祈求。

|
17 All3956 unrighteousness93 is2076 sin:266 and2532 there is2076 a sin266 not3756 unto4314 death.2288
|
17 凡不義的事都是罪；也有不至於死的罪。
|
|
18 We know1492 that3754 whosoever3956 is born1080 of1537 God2316 sinneth264 not;3756 but235 he that is begotten1080 of1537 God2316 keepeth5083 himself,1438 and2532 that wicked one4190 toucheth680 him846 not.3756
|
18 我們知道凡從神生的，必不犯罪，從神生的，必保守自己［keepeth himself］，那惡者也就無法害他。
|
|
19 And we know1492 that3754 we are2070 of1537 God,2316 and2532 the3588 whole3650 world2889 lieth2749 in1722 wickedness.4190
|
19 我們又［And］知道，我們是屬神的，全世界都臥在邪惡之下［in wickedness］。
|
|
20 And1161 we know1492 that3754 the3588 Son5207 of God2316 is come,2240 and2532 hath given1325 us2254 an understanding,1271 that2443 we may know1097 him that is true,228 and2532 we are2070 in1722 him that is true,228 even in1722 his848 Son5207 Jesus2424 Christ.5547 This3778 is2076 the3588 true228 God,2316 and2532 eternal166 life.2222
|
20 我們也知道，神的兒子已經來到，且將智慧賜給我們，使我們認識那位真實的，我們也在那位真實的裏面，就是在他兒子耶穌基督裏面。這是真神，也是永生。

21 Little children,5040 keep5442 yourselves1438 from575 idols.1497 Amen.281
|
21 小子們哪，你們要自守，遠避偶像。阿們［Amen］。
